I heard it and believed it for a long time, but on March 2, at the William S. Paley festival, Trey and Matt said there will not be a second South Park movie, because they had told the truth about their fights with the MPAA and figured it would really crack down on them if they decided to make a second one. To them, it's not worth the struggle. They're happy enough working on the series until it ends.

I think this is one of those people who didn't understand that the South Park movie was making fun of itself - replace "Asses of Fire" with "South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut" and it's a parody of what actually happened when South Park first appeared. (except for the war on Canada, of course ;) Even the title "Uncut" is ironic since so much of the movie was completely censored out.
It's a meta movie - only true South Park fans could possibly understand that.
