Goodbye

Because of some confusion with my CompuServe billing plan, I'm closing my Internet account with them, tomorrow. They advertise unlimited access for $9.95 a month, but I checked yesterday and my bill is up to almost $50! My advice to you is to avoid CompuServe and AOL at all costs. They both suck. They care more about making a profit than service to the customer.

So, this is my last day with the newsgroup. It's been a blast, guys. I might not be TOTALLY gone, though. There's a library about 10 miles away with an Internet connection. I should be able to post here, using Deja.com, now and then, but I don't get out there that often. I MIGHT even be able to keep posting fanfics, depending on if the library's computers will let me use their 3.5 disk drives. I tried to save something to a disk I brought from home, once, and I got a message that said I didn't have access to the drive. Maybe, that's just with saving, I don't know. It might work with loading from the drive, I'll have to check.

I've really enjoyed this group. You guys are the best! Hopefully, I'll be able to come back one of these...months. Until then, anyone who wants to write to me can at the address below. Yeah, I know posting my real address on the Internet is a stupid thing to do, but, what the hell, I'm doing it anyway. Here it is...

Dude! There's plenty of other ISPs out there! Like my Earthlink, for example. I only pay 19.95$ a month for unlimited internet access. And at my parents' house they use AT&T- same deal basically. They pay about 20$ a month for unlimited access. Ya gotta shop around dude- don't cut yourself off from the net just 'cause Compuserve sucks ass. Don't go Steve, don't go! <pouts>

It actually wasn't so bad once I started using a different dial-up network to connect to AOL, and then switched to 4.0. But still...it's not that great.
