Well, it's the end of life as I know it. Tomorrow starts school for me. <sarcasm> I can hardly wait! <sarcasm off> So, if you guys don't hear from me for a while, I'm not dead. I just have homework. This year, I have to try to juggle inhuman amounts of homework (some of our teachers this year are real slavedriver bitches), a job (my one co-worker is a slavedriver bitch....UGH! I can't *STAND* her! <shudder>), and extracurricular activities. So, I'll try to write my fanfics at least every other weekend, as that's my weekends off from work. Throughout the week, I'll definitely be gettint more ideas, as my mind wanders in boring classes, and during the school year, my brain is actually more active. And I'll try to keep up on my posting.

So, anyone else off to the torture chambers? (BTW, I'm off to 10th grade--<sarcasm on> What fun! <sarcasm off> Between those silly stupid dippy cheerleadery groups, asshole boys, and the school pervert, who just *happens* to have an obsession with me, of all people--and he ain't even good looking--I'm gonna go *crazy*!!! Well, there are some non-ditzy girls, non-asshole boys, but they're few and far between. Hmm, maybe I can work my school's environment into a fanfic somehow sometime.....Hmmm <puts on thinking cap>)

Well, this was a great summer. The Summer Of South Park, since this was when I first got Comedy Central and all! This summer kicked ass! I just wish I'd be able to say the same about this school year!

~Kyle Broslofski~

10th grade...ah, memories. Seems so long ago for me...but it was only 7 years ago. And from what you've described, not a damn thing has changed :) High school is just full of losers, posers, wannabes, stuck up jerks and bitches, nerds, weirdos, and freaks. But you know what Kyle, none of that shit will matter once you graduate and leave high school forever. So hang in there kid, you're halfway done :) -Toni

I guess south park is for a variety of ages. But, no offense to you litluns, you kinda need to be older to understand it all. And understanding it makes it funnier. -me

ZyberGoatAnn

Yeah, once you learn enough, you'll understand a lot more of the jokes, since most of it is satire. For some of the younger kids, though, they find it funny because it swears :-)

To each his/her own, I guess.

Patrick Goatseay Ann wrote in message ... >I guess south park is for a variety of ages. But, no offense to you >litluns, you kinda need to be older to understand it all. And

One of the episodes I loved best was Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls. That had the most understandable satire, since all you need to do is read up on some Trey and Matt history. Also, the Gods and Clods thing in 'Chickenpox' was great.

"But we have a lot of money and food, can't we just share half of it with Kenny's family?" " <laughs> Oh, son, do you have a lot to learn.." And of course, Kyle's paper was great, especially the way it would make a new Holocaust..I guess it shows what our nation's youth is *really* influenced by.

Anyone who says Trey and Matt are immature, potheads, or immoral needs to get their asses past the curse words and profanity to the real stuff underneath..of course, I once loved it for the cursing, catch phrases, and so on myself. I still do, but I think now I'm starting to appreciate it more.

I understand most of it. That is if not all...I can't think of anything off hand I don't understand but I'm sure there's something. Oh...the endor thing....but that really isn't a question of age. I don't like the show just because they swear (i know you never said I did) and I don't know how someone could. Do you? And yes undersatanding it does make it funnier (which is why roman dosn't find it funny...because he can't understand it),but you don't nessicarly have to be older to understand it. It partly depends on how much you know about the worlds social issues. It is a social satire not a political satire right. I have haven't noticed any but I haven't seen every episode (and I might have missed it in the ones I have seen). Cyberwolf

Yuppers, that's the case in my little brother's class, as all the kids there watch South Park. (he's in 6th grade, so the kids are about 10 or 11 years old). They wouldn't understand a *thing* about it (since his class happens to be one of those ones where no one at all has half a brain).

But, as for me, (I'm 15) I understand every single bit of it. My mom (who's in her 40's), as an adult, on the other hand, doesn't get it at all--if she did, she'd probably actually *like* it!

Ahh, yes. This reminds me very much of when *I* started 7th grade--new school, bottom of the barrel (only it was worse for me cuz our school went from 7th to *12th* grade--we were constantly being shoved into lockers, decapitated, trampled, etc.--*not* a good thing if Kenny were to go to my school ;) My so-called best friend completely dumped me to hang out with the "popular" girls. But, luckily, I was able to find that this one girl I sorta hung around with was actually my *real* friend. To this day, she's my absolute best friend. At school, I have, like, 3 girls I hang around with, and they're all my true friends--not like one of those groupie things where you like a person one minute then have their name at the top of you're death list the next! So, I'm sure you'll be able to find some true friends when you start school--maybe you'll even find friends where you least expect it! :)

Before school? My classes officially start at 7:50 and we have a fucked up attendance/tardy policy where you can fail if you have to many absenses/tardies. I'm hardly alive at 6:30 in the morning (When I have to get up) forget about reading a newsgroup. The middle schools in CT are the same way. Well, for me, in 7th grade I took Pre-algebra, then algebra in 8th and honors geometry in 9th and now algebra 2 honors in tenth. That is the [bleep]ing stupidest god damn thing I have ever [bleep]ing heard. Any school who puts that kind of policy into effect is looking for a lawsuit... I mean, what does attendence have to do with [bleep]ing grades, goddamnit?!?!

Anyway, if you could get a lawyer to represent you, you could probably sue them and take that policy down.

Ha ha. Your so fucking funny. They mean that if you have 7 absences in a quarter, you FAIL. Even if you have a 100 average the teacher will replace is with a 59...no shit. And 1 tardy is a warning 2 tardies is a 15 min. detention 3 tardies is an administrative detention and 4 tardies equals an absence and a note home. So, with our over crowded hallways going from (we have 2 buildings) one building to the next is hell. There is no way you can make it from French (top floor) to math (almost bottom floor of the next building) in 5 minutes. Actually, if I posted the attendance policy/tardy policy you would sit there and laugh your ass off. It's ridiculous. So the next time you think your funny, shut the fuck up. -me

they did that when I was in high school, and the reason my school did it was because the state government pays the school for every student who attends a certain number of days (140 or something) so the school loses money on students with a lot of absences... it's a lotta bullshit IMHO! they almost kicked me out for 22 absences even though I had straight A's..

Junior in college here, a liberal arts major and science minor so I've taken lots of classes in a variety of departments and have never even had a teacher that kept roll, much less deducted points. This is true of the school where I spent my freshman year AND the one I've been at for the last year and a half.
