I recently read in one of the gaming magazines that did a review of the new South Park game and an interview with SP creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker that the character audio would be significantly different in the game's Nintendo 64 version and the PC version.

In the interview both Matt and Trey said unfortunately because of the memory restrictions that the N64 cartridge had they weren't able to get all of the character audio into the N64 version that they wanted to but were able to into the PC version because the CD's for PCs have a lot more memory available then the N64 cartridge.

I don't know if this is true or not, We'll soon find on when the PC version is released sometime in January.

For more info on the SP PC game, the latest issue of PC Gamer has it as the cover story. A lot of details included and some screen shots. It sounds like fun, but we'll have to wait and see.

One positive out of the article, apparently Matt and Trey spent time with the develpers to make sure it had the right SP "feel".

I think the PC version will be better than any console version because so much more detail in the graphics and better sound can be done on a PC because a CD (or two) can hold much more data than a cartridge (Where the N64 loses out) plus there is hard disk space and powerful processers (where the PSX loses out).

The only good console games are fighting games and footie games (although if you have a gamepad like I do these become excellent on the PC too).

you've played a good fighting game on the pc? the pc is the best for first-person shoot'em ups, flight sims, umm...graphic adventures, urrr and other stuff. therefore by this logic, south park has to kick ass :))) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- i love you guys... ah screw you guys. (Cartman) remember, when you're up to your nose in it, keep your mouth shut Narf!
