I'm not seeing any posts here! What's the story? Have re-runs killed us?

Granted, I've got my news reader set to kill overly crossposted crap...

There have been many more messages here lately, in fact. But yes, they are mostly what you would call "crap" -- Turn your filter off and you'll see what I mean. Reruns don't help, but I think that many people get turned off from posting anything because of the tidal wave of crap that has come through here the last week or two. Not everyone uses filters like you...

I fully understand. I was just trying to explain from my viewpoint why there aren't many SP messages lately. Those who don't use filters might not want to post at all because a) they don't think anyone will see their SP message in a sea of cross-posted crap, or b) they have given up even checking the group because of said sea of crap.

Unfortunately...they're NOT gonna leave no matter what. This is their actual 'career'. Ugh. I wasi n another newsgroup before, and they've been infesting it for at LEAST a year.

It's instances like these when moderating this group doesn't seem like that bad an idea...no, not moderating *language* or anything..just keeping out crossposts and spam.

Ugh. I HATE seeing a perfectly good newsgroup go down the tubes because of some ignorant morons like them.
