What's the group consensus about the possible popularity of "The Upright Citizens Brigade"? Will it be . . .
. . . another "South Park"? (Maybe that's too much to hope for.)
. . . another "Kids in the Hall"?
. . . totally sucking ass from the first episode?

I don't think that they'll be as big a hit as South Park, but I could see them being as popular as Viva Variety... if that makes any sense.

Viva Variety is popular?? Ok, guess I should actually watch it next time instead of flippin' the channel when it comes on. Hmmm.

I don't even know what it's about. I'm taking a look at Bob and Margret and saying "How is this going to wind up an adult cartoon?" Did those two shows premiere yet? And if so, what time are they on?

Maybe it's just me, but for the life of me I can't get into that Bob an Margret show from what I've seen on the promos. I'm not saying its sucks or is gonna suck (I haven't seen it yet ofcourse), but I just don't get where the adult part comes into play on that show. I even remember reading somewhere (think it was an online magizine) that they where comparing B&M to SP, they where even calling it "The NEXT South Park," I was like "PALEEEZEE!"
Anywayz, I don't want to go off on a rant because of this, I guess I'll wait till it premieres, and THEN switch rant mode on if need be. :-)

Bob and Margaret is not going to be an ADULT cartoon like South Park. It's going to be subtle like the Simpsons and Dr. Katz.
Well that's not what I've been reading on several pre-premiere reviews. Who knows, guess we will find out soon enough huh.

I can't say I loved it and I can't say I hate it, but as to adult content , they had to blur out some male frontal nudity with a maple leaf (it's imported from Canada). B&M is out of Canada and is fairly low key. It should not be compared to SP, in my opinion. It's an apple & orange thing. They will not beat you over the head as SP & Simpsons do. It won't be everyones cup o' tea but I'm hoping it's given a fighting chance to find an audience.

Yup, like I said, I don't want it seem tha I am going off on the show specially since I have not seen it yet. But like you, I thought it shouldn't be compared to SP like it has at some places. But I will definitely check out the premiere and see if I like it, or it might even need to grow on me a little before I do.
