Man why does Trey and Matt have to have the boys pick on Pip. He never did anything wrong to anybody. Why do they make them the South Park kids hate him. Do T and M not like British people?

Maybe they should make fun of a French kid or an Italian kid, and maybe i'll enjoy it a little more.

Also someone needs to crack a baseball bat across Shelly's (Stan's sis) head, you know. Screw her.

I hope not...the wussies eat fish & chips and play soccer instead of football.....besides, what have the British ever given the world besides new wave?

Like the _rest_ of the world. America plays real football (which they call soccer), and American football. The rest of the worlds plays football (which Americans call soccer), but not American football. It's not just Britain. Geez, some kids nowadays can be soooo clueless. Don't talk about stuff you don't know about, kid. How old are you anyway, to not know that "soccer" is the most popular sport in the world?

Actually, the NFL has expanded and created a new league... "NFL Europe", or something like that... They have 8 teams, I think... http://www.nfl.com

HTH, Ben

If it lives in water, it's nasty.

How can any sport that has given the world the haircut of Johnny Unitas bite????

Umm, okay...

Hulk Hogan, crack cocaine and South Park.

Um...if that's your case...then the only thing we, the US, is good for is South Park...

and it';s not Hulk...it's Hollywood, bra! :)

you know I read someplace that in a secret treaty bettween england and america (before america entered the war) england sold canada to the us for war supplies food etc...

The British have also given us soccer riots, Monty Python, Blackadder, The Young Ones, genetic cloning, and thick beer.

Frankly, their political, social, and culinary contributions are negligable, but their television shows kick ass.

No as far as I know, 7-11 gives you the shaft when you try to buy beer anymore.

No I happen to be referring to how screwed up it is to even TRY to buy beer from 7-11. If you're buying 1 12oz bottle of beer for yourself and you have friends with you, they will make all of them card, and at one 7-11 I was at, they were so stupid that due to a high volume of bogus IDs in that stores area, they said if a customer LOOKS visibly under 25 or so, they would refuse the sale of their alcohol no matter what the ID said. THEY CAN'T DO THAT you know?

Why would you buy beer at 7-11? Christ, it cost twice what the supers charge. just a thought...why would tell the clerk you were going "split" it with your buddies in the first place?!?

JonLentz69 wrote:

I didn't say we were SPLITTING the beer, it's just that they make everybody in a group present ID no matter what one person is buying alcohol wise. And yes they did that before when my friend was purchasing a 22oz bottle of MGD, and he went back because one of my friends with us wasn't quite 21 yet.

For what little it's worth, in Florida, it is LAW that every member of a party be carded if anyone in the group is buying alcohol. Did you know that, if a 7/11 clerk sells alcohol to a minor, it is punishable by up to five years in prison?

THAT'S why they card... in Florida, at least.

I didn't say they shouldn't card, but that they card EVERYONE in a group when one is buying beer for HIMSELF? Goofy!!!

I guess they do it because they see it as "well yea the guy that's buying the beer IS over 21, but what about his friends, and what if he is buying it to give it to THEM later on, and what if they'r UNDER 21!, and what if the cops catch them and then they say that I sold them the beer!, and then they come after me for selling to minors!!! and get sent to prison for 5 years!!!! and then some one bends me over the side of......." Ok ok, got a little carried away (been watching to many south park reruns i guess), but you get the idea. hehehe.

You know what the problem is in this country? We are a fuckin' "What if..." country. We can't take any chances. We are afraid of doing anything because "What if..." "What if..." "What if...". Well you know what I say? "WHAT IF NONE OF THAT SHIT HAPPENS THAT ONE IS WORRIED ABOUT?!!!!"

Yep, yep, very true. How did a conversation about Pip spring to beer anyway? What if (here it comes) there is a giant conspiracy trying to keep us off-topic?! *gasp* It could be anyone out there, trying to keep us from talking about South Park, disguised as one of the newsgroup regulars! Aaaaugh!

(nervous laugh) What would make you think anyone was trying to stop you guys talking about South ... hey did you guys catch that great re-run of Who's The Boss last night? Nick Wilson

I was just waiting for someone to bring up that old, tired thread about "saving the English's ass in WW2". Too bad we couldn't do anything for dental hygene also. I thought we were talking about PIP! jack

Dudes! The name Pip comes from a Charles Dickens's novel. I forgot the name though. There is a kid named Pip that nobody likes. JonLentz69 wrote in message ...

Actually, there was a direct quote from the novel in one SP episode - the opening paragraph or so. I think Cartman tells him to shut the hell up halfway through. Very funny!

name

1> The book is _Great Expectations_. 2> It has already been discussed here -- many, many times. 3> Pip quotes the book when he explains his name. 4> If you had ever read the book, you would understand why everybody hates Pip.
