Haven't seen it mentioned, but Cartoon Network has included "I Love to Singa" on its list of the top 50 cartoons of all time, and the cartoon will be shown during its marathon on Saturday March 14 1-9 PM Central time.
As if there needed to be another excuse to watch the marathon since it already includes such great cartoons as What's Opera Doc, One Froggy Evening and Duck Amuck......

The language of Starvin Marvin's people is not actually Ethiopian, but that of the !Kung San people. These people live around the Kalahari Desert in Namibia and Botswana. The exclamation point in the name is the click sound, which is quite prevalant in the language. On the other hand, the official language in Ethiopia is Amheric, which is a Semitic language.
