The *fact* that the first Halloween episode was aired in 1997 has nothing inherently to do with the fact that South Park first aired in 1997. Both are true, but the first is not true *because* of the second. They just simply are both true. It is possible to have a show start airing in 1997, but not have the first Halloween episode until 2001 -- got it? It's just that in case, South Park's, it was true that both were in 1997.

When two things are true, that doesn't always mean that one thing is true *because* the other is true; they simply are both true. By writing one thing (A), and then writing "That means (B)" -- you are implying that B is true *because* (A) is true, when what you meant say is that (A) is true *and* (B) is true.

You need an English lesson, perhaps. I was very clear. Think about it like this (maybe this is a bad idea as perhaps you possess no sense of logic either...we'll see)

Now, if I were to express (A) and (B) in your style of writing, it would look something like this:

"Birds can fly. That means that my name is Christoph."

Doesn't make sense, does it? Birds *can* fly, and your name *is* Christoph. However, by writing "that means," you are implying that your name is Christoph *because* birds can fly. No! Your name is Christoph because that is what you were named and has nothing to do with birds.

In the case of South Park, the fact that the first Halloween episode was also in the same year that South Park started airing is really just a coincidence. This is because there is no requirement that South Park make a Halloween episode the first year it was aired, the second, or really any year. NOW: It so happens that they made a Halloween episode that year as well, but that again is coincidence.

Another way to look at it: Does a show have to have a Halloween episode, ever? Has there ever been a Halloween episode of "60 Minutes"? (I'm assuming no.) That show has been on for years. But, theoretically, they could have a Halloween show this year, presumably their first.
