South Park BL&U getting the short end of the Fireman

Has anyone else noticed the South Park BL&U is only being shown in a fraction of movie theatres?

Here in Portland Oregon, it's only going to show in 3 theatres. New releases usually debut in 9-12 theatres....

OH NO!

We only have about five theatres...I hope we get it in at least ONE of them...probably the Carmike, like B&B Do America... Tho when your town is owned by Jerry Falwell, there's never a guarantee that a movie will be shown.

Well, I already know where mine is playing, and I guessed correctly beforehand
too.  The popcorn bags with the kids on them are at Regal Cinemas, so I figured
one of the two Regal's in our town.

I don't usually eat pocorn at the movies, but when I went to see Phantom Menace, I got popcorn just for the bag and gave the popcorn to my friend...Geez, 3 bux for a bag?....I don't care! ;-)

That has a lot to do with the distributor, and how much money they want to spend to put it on a lot of screens

I wouldn't know about that. We only have 1 theater that runs new releases. The second theater in my area is a dollar theater, where they get movies after all the other theaters in the world do. And, SP movie is being shown in the one theater in my area. :)

Exactly WHAT Portland Oregon do YOU live in? I have the Oregonian in front of me right now....B L & U is in 11 theatres in Portland alone and also in 2 more in nearby Vancouver. On top of that several of the theartres are showing it on 2 screens.
