is there a reason they always make fun of mormons? are matt or trey mormon or something?

They also make fun of Canadians. That's funny, too, but not nearly as funny as their mormon jokes.

And Trey was friends with a fair number of them, even had a Mormon girlfriend at one time, so he has a good feel for portraying them..

I wouldn't call it bashing, that's partly why it's so funny. I haven't seen it in recent episodes - older ones.

My favorite Mormon-mentioning episode was the one about Satan and his two boyfriends (Sadam & Chris). All the people who just died appeared in Hell and were greeted by one of Satan's servents. Some of them were pretty unhappy that they were in hell and wanted to know what religion was the correct choice. The guy greeting them said "Mormon. Yes, Mormon would be the correct answer here" or something like that. Was too funny! Later on in the episode, Satan goes up to heaven to ask God for advice about which boyfriend to choose (what, Satan doesn't like the idea of polygamy? Why can't he have both and then more? Hee hee). Anyhow, when he gets to heaven there are all these Mormons dressed like missionaries and being cheerful and smiley. They invite Satan to join them in some family-friendly group game and mention that later on Brother So-and-so is going to play the guitar and sing songs about how alcoholism destroys families.

So, not quite bash material, but very very hilarious. I'd love to see that episode again. I'm not sure what season it's from, because I'm a relatively new SP fan and all of the rerun episodes seem new to me so far.

Other than it's a loony Christian cult based on some crazy man's hallucinations?
