We expected to much

I think that I know why "Damien" didn't seem all that funny. Basically, with the last few episodes, there was something new. It had been almost two months since we had seen a 'new' episode. We wanted to be shocked, surprised, amazed like we were with Mr Hankey. Folks, after so many episodes, what was shocking and funny to us way back when "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" first aired, is simply the norm now. We are accustomed to it. Imagine that "Damien" was aired 4 months earlier. It could have been incredible. Jesus fighting Satan on pay per view.....my goodness. That would have blown away. Remember how great "Pink Eye" was? Then think of how you were slightly let down by "Stavin Marvin." We expected the next to beva step up. Instead, it was on a similar level. When "Mr Hankey..." aired, it was explosive. It crossed the line father than we had ever imagined. Had "Damien" aired when it was originally slated...............wow. But now, we are conditioned to being thrown a curve, that when we were presented with this par show, it seemed sub par.

In regards to the subject title, did you mean to use the word 'much' as a verb, For example, 'Later on, Steve and I plan on going surfing and then after that we expect to 'much'...? Or, did you mean that we as South Park fans expect more than we should, in which case you should have used the correct speling T-O-O much, meaning 'in excess of that which is an acceptable amount'? It really bugs the shit out of me that my parents made me pay attention in school while yours let you sniff glue throughout your childhood.

Have you ever heard of manners? That was a reather rude statement. A simple typo is a very common thing. Even a school teacher like myself can make a mistake sometimes.

Now, back to South Park...................

Did you mean to begin "for" with a capital letter?

I know the feeling.

I don't know about everyone else, but I liked Damien. To me, South Park is one of those "reliable" shows, by that I mean that the wide range of jokes ensures that there's at least one thing about an episode that I enjoy. (Same thing with MST3K) Even though some episodes aren't as great as the best ones, I don't think I ever tuned in to SP and didn't leave thoroughly entertained 30 minutes later.
