Wow. And I thought "Smug Alert" was bad. But this...this...I have no words. Wow.

Well...I liked "Smug Alert", but this episode was not funny. The idea of Oprah's cunt being a main character is a funny concept, but is one of those things that was probably funnier on paper than in practice. The fact that it will probably piss off Oprah is just a minor consolation to the 30 minutes I wasted watching it.

You cannot have a SP episode without Cartman, Kenny, Stan and Kyle. Not once was the word "dude" uttered.

It just wasn't South Park, dude!

I think Matt and Trey might just be essentially on strike against Comedy Central until they get last week's episode uncensored.

I wouldn't put it past Matt and Trey for one second. They may be on strike -- that is, refusing to do an episode with the main characters, and refusing to do a remotely funny episode -- until they get uncensored. And you know what? They'll win, because they're the biggest show on that network.

This may be the gutsiest move we've ever seen from the writing staff of a TV show.

And by the way -- if that's what's really happening -- Wednesday's episode was hilarious: it was intentionally unfunny.

Let's see how this plays out.

I suppose it's possible, but I'm not sure why they'd want to piss off a sizeable percentage of their fans just to stick it to Comedy Central. If people stopped watching the show, it would hurt Matt and Trey more than it would hurt CC.

I agree, but the consensus here seems to be that "Pip" is right up there with "A Million Little Fibers" as a candidate for worst. episode. ever. (And offhand, I can't think of any worse than AMLF, myself.)

Maybe "Pip" comes across better for those of us who've read _Great Expectations_, as I had to in high school, and recognize a lot of the plot elements and how they were parodied. Even without that, though, I still say an episode with robot monkeys and the Genesis Device can't be all bad.

I hate to say it, but this is the first episode in which I didn't laugh once.

2/10 at best, if a talking pussy of an overweight talk-show host is the *most* funny part of the ep, than it says all for itself and does not need any additional word of commentary.
