Damien's Nielsen rating?

Has anybody heard what Damien received Wednesday night in the Nielsens? The Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Xmas eps had all been the highest rated show for CC when they aired, so I'd be interested to see how Damien did.

I saw this somewhere a little while ago, I think it was in Spin's article.. it said something like if CC was piped in to every household in America like the networks are, then it would get a 41 rating. Seinfeld currently gets a 22 rating. I think it said 5 million people watched? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am currently taking a mass media class and I have a 10 pg paper due by March something. I want to do my paper on South Park but I can't really narrow down the topic. I've thought of taking one episode and analizing it but I wanted to do the who show not just one episode. So If anyone has any ideas let me know. I have to have a topic by tomorrow. also: Where could I find a listing of newspaper and magazine articles written about south park?

Don't give us too much time, we wouldn't be any help then. Maybe compare and contrast B&B or the Simpsons with South Park. Or do something about 'morally objectionable' material in media. You could take a survey or something and compare the number of people who watch South Park to see 8 year olds cuss to the number of people who enjoy it's social satire. It'd helpful if I had more info on the class, but hopefully these will get your thoughts going.

Here's what I read about SP's Nielsen ratings:

SOUTH PARK returned with new episodes last week, and the animated series continues to break ratings records for COMEDY CENTRAL. February 4th's episode, the first since the now-classic Christmas special, was watched by 5.6 million; an increase of 1.1 million. The episode scored a 6.4, up 19%. SOUTH PARK is all new every Wednesday in February, with a Valentine's Day episode this week, leading up to a cliffhanger season finale at the end of the month that will keep us guessing on the identity of Cartman's father until the new season starts in May.

Wrong. The rating for Damien was 6.4, the share was something like a 60 for people 12-24. It was THE number watched show on basic cable the week----beating RUGRATS, WCW Wrestling and other perennially high rated program. #111 got a 6.1 rating.

That makes perfect sense as far as I'm concerned. After Mr. Hankey, EVERYBODY wanted to see the new episode, so a lot of people watched Damian. Then, after being disappointed, they weren't so excited about watching Tom's Rhinoplasty, so that got a lower rating.
