Hey everyone. This thursday South Park premiered on public tv channel TV4 in Sweden. (First two season have aired on pay-tv). The interesting thing here, relating to a short discussion a couple of days ago, is that they didn't subtitle it "to preserve the original feeling". Good idea!! They had optional subtitles on teletext though, but at least I didn't have to have them on my videotape! A question I have is why are there two versions of the show? The one shown on pay-tv wasn't fullscreen, but on the public channel it was. The screen grabs I've seen are fullscreen, so was the episode I saw when I went to New Zealand. What is the deal? Did the pay-tv company shrink the picture to avoid having subtitles all over the picture? If you're wondering, Sweden only dub kids stuff like Disney cartoons, movies etc are subtitled.
