Is this something that Matt & Trey cooked up or is it a real song? Just curious.

It's a real song. It's a traditional Hanukkah song, from what I understand. I heard it on a Jewish radio show the other day, being sung by a chorus...and I'd heard it on various Jewish programs before..and I have it on sheet music, etc. so it's definitely real. <g>

They have added new contrapuntal lines to it. The original does not have the lines by Stan, Cartman or Sheila Brozlofski. We played this for a Jewish woman who sang the song as a kid and ir cracked her up.
Or anything about Courteney Cox, IIRC.

Yeah, there's no way some guy like that could ever really exist. Someone who walks on water and turns water into wine? What is he supposed to be... the Amazing Kreskin?
You might as well be worshipping rocks or wombats or Southern Sri Lanka staring frogs or cups of coffee.

And here's a little history on the dreidel, IIRC. Way back in history, when I believe the Romans (correct me if I'm wrong) used to persecute the Jews, the dreidel was used as a warning symbol. For example, if some Jews were gathered in secrecy, worshipping, and some Romans happened along, one of the Jewish would take out a dreidel and spin it, and everyone would get the picture, and just go about doing non-worshipping things until the danger was gone.
