First of all this was probably the funniest movie I've ever seen in my entire life. :^)
It was strange to see Kenny's face and actually hear his real voice. I thought he would be all messed-up,like Darth Vader or something,under the hood. Also I can't believe Mike Judge did his voice because it would be really lame if he made him sound like Hank Hill/Anderson, which you would probably expect. It's just wierd to know what's under the hood now and hopefully we'll see him again on the TV show.
Yeah, I was expecting some sort of Darth Vader-esque thing, or just something veryvery *strange* to be under the hood. But, Kenny is so cute, I wasn't expecting that! :)
When Kenny took his hood off and finally made it to heaven, did anyone cry?? I felt a little emotional and I dont know why! No I didn't cry but it was a surprise to see Kennys face not look all dirty like his brothers' .

I hate to admit it, but the end of the movie really plays on your emotions. When Sheila first shoots Terrance, we're horrified. Then there's that two or three seconds when Phillips cries out for his best friend best he is shot. The big finish is surprisingly emotionally satisfying. When Kenny shots by as a shooting star and then got his wings, you cant help but feel that he deserves it and it's a big payback to the Kenny fans who watch the little guy die every week. I find the hospital scene hard to watch. Kenny says something like, "I feel bad" when he wakes up. I feel this is the most painful Kenny death for someone attatched to the little guy.
I know! I was sitting there going "OH SHIT!" No WAY! And when Stan got tossed by that explosion...scared the heck outta me... I got into the movie too much, as I said before...
That's the only part my dad would like...he gets pissed when Kenny dies...

I did get a little tear at the end for Kenny's soliloquy. It's when I also realized he was the hero of the movie.

Well, I did felt emotional over that part. Nice to see Kenny get what he deserved. Though I get that same way with any show that involves a death by a regular character. Son Goku in Dragonball Z is a perfect example, though he dies only a few times and is wished back to life by the end of the series. Though it's rather interesting to see the interperatations of death for the character in the series anyway.

I actually think that it was a good idea to make Kenny's face normal, and make him sound normal as well. With all of the controversy in this group about eventually showing Kenny's face, now that we know that he looks and sounds normal, we'll realize that Kenny is funnier with his hood on.
hehe...I did... I noticed it seems the kids all have the same hair colour as their dads. IE the spookyfish ep. and the beards...that's where I guessed it.

Is anybody upset that they showed Kenny's face? I didn't think they had to do this. I was even more suprised that he looked so normal. I think that was one of the biggest mysteries of SP and maybe it didn't have to be done. Or made it more interesting. BTW when Kenny went up to heaven and faded out of his clothes, why did he reappear in them when he went to heaven? I feel like many of the old Star Wars fans who were upset that they showed Vader's face in ROTJ. LOL

Although I LOVED the original trilogy, I must admit that IMHO <awaits flames bravely from TPM fans> "The Phantom Menace" did not live up to its predeccesors. Ok, the rest of the actors were fine and a good part of the movie was ok, but Jar Jar Binks was simply a marketing ploy that was a complete disaster, the scenes on Tattoine were too drawn out (with the exception of the short lightsaber fight) and sappy at times, and the boy seems to have come from the same acting school as the kids from "Full House". Oops.....guess I should have put "STARWARS" to warn ya about this post huh? :-)

I agree. It was so anti-climatic. I guess that may have been the intention, to sort of soften the Kenny character. But it fell pretty flat. If there were no TV show, and there would never be a sequel, then I can understand. But since we're going to see Kenny get killed hundreds more times, it didn't make a lot of sense. IMHO
If they didn't show Kenny's face, I would've felt disappointed. I'm not sure you remember a little sketch on SNL called "It's Pat" or something. Well, the whole idea was this character named Pat that no one knew the sex of. It was quite popular infact. Then, they made a movie...were they didn't show the sex of Pat, instead they just teased the audience the whole time, and the movie didn't even make it to the boxoffice. The show died and it turned out to be a horrible move.
So I'm happy they showed Kenny's face. I'm happy with the whole movie.
I'm pretty sure Pat is a woman. Now I will tell you why i think this. Anyone remember an episode of SNL where Harvy Keitel hosted? Well, the skit he did with Pat was with the two of them stranded on a desert isle. During this skit they kissed passionately. That leads me to believe Pat is female since Harvey was obviously playing a straight male. But I've been alive 23 years and haven't been right all the time. I could be wrong.
I'd tend to agree with you on this one based on the fact that pretty much all of the androgenous people I've known in my life have been BUTT-UGLY women who looked like they might be men, and not the other way around. There are very few men who look close enough to women to be mistaken for them (offhand, only the Hansen brothers come to mind).

Considering that all the boys (save for Cartman and Token) have similar facial features, it didn't surprise me in the least that he looked like that. I thought it was really appropriate and concluded the movie on a real aw-shucks kinda way that wasn't TOO sweet.
