... that when Cartman bursts into the church to yell "CRIPPLE FIGHT!!!", *Kyle's parents are no longer in the church*? IIRC, they were sitting in the front pew on the viewer's left, near the middle of the screen. In last night's showing, that area of the pew was empty. Given how much discussion was triggered when the original scene aired, I can't believe that no one else picked up on it.

Hehe, that area was empty the first time around as well. Kyle's parents are in the SECOND pew, screen left. Sheila is next to the window, and Gerald sits to her left.

I remember, when the episode was new, someone mentioning not enough Jews in South Park for a Temple. Me thinks they listen to the Old Testement and cover their ears when the 'new stuff' comes up. Besides, they don't serve pork communion waffers.

Until Kyle entered the South Park Synagogue for the first time (in "Cartmanland") last year, there was nowhere else for the Broflovskis to go. And Priest Maxi did double duty as rabbi when "Ike" was buried in "Ike's Wee Wee." But I think we'll still see them in church, heh. :)

D'OH! (I *can* say that on an SP NG, can I?) Looks like I better watch again this weekend, and pay more attention to the second row.

On a related note, I seem to remember when this episode first aired a lot of people were pointing the abscence of Kyle (yeah, I know, Jew Scouts) and worrying if this meant Butters was replacing Kyle. Which of course didn't happen, and now people are worrying if Butters is replacing Kenny.
