Oh man, I could talk for days about this cartoon. At first, I thought it was going to be a very sugar-coated cartoon that Stan's mom made her son watch. When I saw it, I couldn't believe it. It was funny as hell, especially with its parodies of many of Fat Albert's themes, including the females with the gruff masculine voices and Bill Cosby's lessons at the end of every episode, which prompted Stan to hang that loser, what's his name. I think we finally have a replacement for Terrance and Philip with this very twisted version of a popular 70's show.

Yeah, I thought the 'Fat Abbot' segment was hilarious, and even more realistic than the real Fat Albert, which was kind of a sugar coated depiction of a real inner city neighborhood in Philadelphia. I just hope that Matt and Trey got full permission from Cosby's people before airing it, Bill Cosby is pretty powerful in the tv industry and their heads will probably roll if they didn't.

They don't need to get permission to do a parody or satire of a show like Fat Albert. SP is well within its legal rights to air "Fat Abbot" with or without permission from Bill Cosby. And as for Cosby having a lot of power in the industry - it ain't what it used to be. I don't know anyone who watches his shows on CBS (either "Kids Say.." or "Cosby")

I thought the Fat Abbot segments were great, and definitely made "Clubhouses"my favorite South Park episode. I really hope that Fat Abbot will be on lots of future episodes of South Park.

They changed it to "Fat Abbot" at the last moment to avoid such possible legal riff-raff ... since it's never actually refered to as Albert on the show, I think they're safe from any legal hoosafudge, being that it's a parody.
