Bleeping Sucks

Ladies and Gentlemen, Anybody agree with me on this issue? I mean, Comedy Central isn't a family or children's channel, or anything. Also, they must mean it for adults, since they show all those alcohol advertisements on their channel, and a person has to be over 21 to drink. Also, why do they bleep out the "hole" part of "asshole" in commercials, movies, and shows other than "South Park?" It's not like "hole" is a bad word or anything. I'm also sure that their ratings would have a significant increase if they took out the censorings. Besides, what's the point of censoring if there's nothing to hide? Thanks, Jeremy Michael Gallen

The Bleeps must be there for a reason and I think they are worried that children might watch SP and copy it.......as for bleeping hole out of assh**e (( dammit they bleeped me)) It looks like you can say Ass on t.v but not assh**e (( ah! Son Of A bitch!..Censors piss me off)).......but thats probably the reason

Guys, the bleeping is just part of the show. They intentionally put the bleeps in because it's funnier to listen to the bleeps than it is to actually hear all the nasty words. The show isn't censored, that's just how the show is made. You might even say that the bleeps are part of the dialog.

I thought of that too a while back...how it's funnier to think of how taboo those words are instead of actually hearing them...makes it seem worse in a way...

Certainly an interesting take, but I think that the FCC would disagree with you... It's unfortunate but Comedy Central like all network and most cable channels is censored...if this wasn't the case, why would the movie be flirting with an NC-17 rating? Jason

There will be no way EVER to see an unedited episode of South Park. That's because the bleeps are already made when Matt & Trey ship it to CC. Matt and Trey do the bleeping, not Comedy Central. And the MPAA are morons to rate the movie NC-17 because of the title pun. gee, I hear it every week on WWF wrestling (USA network).

You know what I think would be really funny? If someone would take the old Disney Donald Duck cartoons and dub in a bunch of bleeps every time Donald Duck blows his top and yells. It would make it _seem_ as if Donald Duck was cursing!

If you can imagine this, it would be pretty {bleeeeep} funny!
