Lianne vs. Deanne

Either Mrs. Cartman's first name is "Deanne", or Cartman just thinks it is, because he can clearly be heard saying "Deanne Cartman" when he's talking to Chief Running Water in #113. Anyone who's curious about this can download a WAV of him saying it at www.geocities.com/suttsteve/deanne.zip

Trey Parker's former fiancee and High School Sweetheart, who is also rumored to have inspired Wendy Testaburger, was named *Lianne*. Not long before the wedding, Trey found out she was having an affair, and they naturally broke up.

In Cannibal! The Musical, which was made not long after their breakup, and Acted, Directed and Written by Trey, he had a horse named Lianne, which seemed an obvious reference to her.

So i'm guessing that Trey named Cartman's Hemaphroditic Crack-whore covergirl Slut after her too. Although i must admit that in 113 when Cartman said the name, it did sound alot like De-anne, but considering the facts, I think it must be Lianne. :-)

Was that her in Orgazmo? I see a Liane in the credits and I think it is...too wierd if it wasn't and was spelled the same.

Yup, that was her - she played one of the two girls that got hit with the Orgazmorator (sp?) and also played the old lady with the walker.

I THOUGHT so...lol I noticed the name the first run thru of the credits and I thought "no way."

I'd go by Sharon considering the guys named Stan and Kyle's parents after their own.

I've always seen that as a bit of a gag in a way.

They do care. Stan's mom is 'Sharon'. It was just a mess up in episode 106.

Kyle's last name is "Browflovski" In every place where it has shown Kyle's last name on the show (eg. SP Movie, His Grandma's grave, Mr Hankey and Chef Aid CD song titles, etc) it has always been spelt that. You probably saw the other 3 spellings on Websites or something :-)

I just go with Broslovski, since it's the only "correct" version of the name that I know of.

Brovlofski? seen in "Spontaneous Combustion"

Broflovski? seen in "Ike's Wee Wee," "KoRn's Groovy Pirate Ghsot Mystery" and on everything associated with SP:BLU. No matter how they spell it now, this is the spelling I will use.

Oh, these are the only three spellings ever shown in the series.

Umm, no man, its not a troll, I actually meant to say it was "Broflovski" in the original post (yes, we all make typos, i kinda look like an idiot now :) ) since I saw it on comedy central's official website and the Mr hankey CD spelt like that. Then again, Willie is right, since i saw the post, i checked, and yeah, there were 3 different spellings for the Broflovski/Brovlovski/Broflovski family in the show.

Well, if you go to www.beef-cake.com and download the episode script you will see that both Stan's mom and Kyle's mom are named Carol in this episode for totally fucked up reasons...oh well, that's because Matt and Trey can be fucked up sometimes lol. I mean, how many times have we seen Kyle's last name misspelled? One minute it's Broslofski, then Brovslofski, and now it's finally Broflovski. At least they keep us on our toes whenever we watch South Park, making it all the more entertaining for us.
