Fake commercial family?

I was watching the Simpsons last night and during the first commercial break saw what I belive to be the family from the fake Mr Hankey commercial. It was another fake commercial involving a cartoon sun chasing the screaming family around the house (same house). It was actually a fake commercial within a real commercial for sprite. Has anyone seen this?

WHAT???? The Mr. Hankey commercial was FAKE???? No wonder I can't find the construction kit anywhere!!! ;->

BTW - that commercial goes down as my all time favorite!

I'm sorry guys but I hate advertising. It pisses me off but during the Simpsons the other night there was a Sprite Commercial involving a fake product called Sun Fizz. I can't hope to desscribe it all I can say is that after you see this commerical Aunt Jemyma and The Pillsburry Doughboy will never look the same the again.

This is true! I kept reading that thread and everyone kept saying how the fries really suck and stuff...so I made a special trip to BK just to try them out. Well, they weren't bad (as far as small fries go, McDonalds are better). I was gonna write here and stick up for them but the next morning, I woke up, ran to the bathroom, and threw up VIOLENTLY!! I felt terrible all day (fever too!). By the following day, I was fine.

Probably coincidence, but I can't help thinking, "OH MY GOD! YOU ALMOST KILLED GARY M. !!! YOU BASTARDS!!!!"

Ever heard of "Spuds?" THEY are the best fries in the universe!

And wouldn't you know it, the kids and I were watching the Simpsons, saw that commercial and almost died-the best commercial in years. It a goddamn shame when I tape the Simpsons, I cut the commercials out-that one was a keeper. RUN KIDS!!!!!!!!

and if you want realy good fries, go to In and Out.

(although I like my own homefries best, I cuttup potatoes(leaving the skin on) and onions, and fry them in butter! Yummy!!!!!)

Yeah, I am biased in Al's favor, but it's still a great ad.

That commercial was HILARIOUS! Sprite commercials are about the only commercials worth watching...along with some of those Miller Lite commercials. (The angels one that got pulled was great...)

That commercial had me laughing and wondering why the person who came up with it is doing commercials, and not something more entertaining. It's rare that you see a commercial use blatant satire like that (the first bunch of Energizer Bunny commercials are the only ones I can recall).

Anyway, I doubt it was the same family as in Mr. Hanky, but it hadn't crossed my mind, either. I'll check next time I see it.

As soon as that sun started talking, I said "Mr Hankey!!" It was even better when they started running and screaming.

Sprite has been doing a lot of great ads in recent years, like Little Caesar's, I think they are trying to stand out by doing the strangest ads they can.

Yes! That was *hilarious*!! I couldn't stop laughing at this! It reminded me of the original idea brought to life by the members of MTV's The State, about 3 or 4 years ago. In that fake ad, there was a woman doing laundry and talking about how her clothes smelled nice and fresh because of her dryer sheet...then this little cuddly bear comes out of the clothes (ala Snuggles) and she starts screaming and slamming the shit out of it with the nearest blunt object. :)
