Song parodies

Greetings...

I was trying to figure out what all the songs were parodies of (or at least where they come from). Here's what I have

Uncle Fucka - Oklahoma Up There - Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid) It's Easy Mmmkay - Best Little Whorehouse in Texas Mountain Town - Beauty & the Beast La Resistance - Le Mis (and I didn't even see the play)

I feel like I -should- know where "What would Brian Boitano Do?" comes from, but I just can't put my finger on it. Anyway, I'd love to hear all of your ideas on this.

We watched most of Beauty and the Beast at work today, and I laughed during the opening cause it DID remind me of SP... It also helped that I have been listening to the soundtrack too much lately =)

Not at all.

I just gotta remember to turn "Uncle Fucka" and "Kyle's Mom" down when I'm sitting at a stoplight, as I tend to turn the music WAY up to be heard over the wind noise while riding with the Jeep top off, and the music carries really well when stopped.

Gotta keep *some* semblance of lady-like behavior, after all. ::grin::

I think my mom's car is just as loud as mine. See, the cd player adaptor works in her car, but not mine, and mine's being fixed. I think the sound carries too well...hehe...People STARE.

I actually got more of a 'Music Man' feel from this, what with Mr. Mackey's hat and all.

Definitely. And also, the little bit of a song that the Mole and Stan sing while the Mole is dying is a parody of ANOTHER Les Mis song. If I might add, I was thinking that What would Brian Boitano do was Music Man material. And the opening song started by Stan, Mountain Town was very Muppets material, but Muppets stole theirs so from whom I was thinking was very Pirates of Penzeance.

I don't know, still Trey Parker is a comedic and musical genius.
