Kenny and the Tree Theory

If a tree falls on Kenny, and nobody sees him get killed, did he really get killed?

Actually, a couple of times the rats didn't come, or maybe we didn't see them. As for 'Oh my God! They killed Kenny!' remember Volcano? They said it, he was ok, he nearly died again, he was ok, then at the very end the gun discharges and kills him, which nobody notices.
