What did Brian Boitano do?

I missed the skating special.

Did anyone catch it? What happened?

Which version of the song did they use?

They used the movie version. It sucked. There were several skaters wearing caps and skating badly to the song. "Ass" got bleeped and with it got to the line about Brian Boitano not taking (this time not bleeped, just an abrupt cut to the end of the song) Brian came out briefly did a quick and uninspired skate for all of 1 minute and when the song ended he had this goofy grin on his face.

It looked like something they decided to throw in 30 seconds before they did it. Bad choreography and definitely not worth taping, which I almost did. Actually in the time it took me to take the tape out of the box and put it in the vcr the number was over.

But then again with the general quiet of the crowd you couldn't help but think that 90% of them had never heard the song before. I just there aren't a lot of South Park fans who also like skating (except for Matt Stone). :)

Yikes!! Sounds horrible. Yet, even just for historical purposes, I'm sorry that I don't have it on tape.

Well, I missed it because I keep forgetting to set my VCR for figureskating this year, but I DO think its really cool that Brian Boitano has a good attitude about the song. He could have been a real dick about it. I guess Scott Hamilton probably would have backflipped him to death if he had had a bad attitude about it :)
