It was interesting when "South Park" came out and everyone was making comments about how raunchy the material was. Then Trey and Matt said that was what the show was all about from the start. They mentioned that it wasn't a show for kids and that it was made for adults. Why else would they have it a 10pm (eastern) time slot? Anyway, even though Trey and Matt claim that the show is made for adults. They know damn well that the show thrives off of its 14 to 18 year old fan base. I was curious as to how many adults watch this show? I know some people (very few) who watch it and think its hilarious, and some who think its sick and immature.

They have said numerous times that they write stuff that is funny to them and their friends. If their average friend's age is mid-20s, I'm screwed because I'm 36 (but would LOVE to be their friend!) :) I got my sister hooked on the show and she's a year older. At work my friends who love the show are in their 40s and 50s. So I guess we can safely say, there are adults watching the program. At least there are some sick and twisted adults in Texas that is!

I'm 27, I consider myself a big kid because I'd rather watch cartoons instead of the news, and I'm stuck in S.C. and I swear that there are only an extremely small amount of people in my town (including myself) that "get" SouthPark...
