In fact, I liked the southpark stereotypes ALOT more than the Simpson's. The Simpson's was stupid when they did a Canada parody, because you had no idea whether or not they actually believed the crap they were feeding the audience (and ironically enough, one of the staffers on the Simpson's is from Calgary Canada, where I am from)...
SP was a great spoof... Like "there's only one road in Canada". It is funny because there is just one road that crosses the country without interruption, that is the trans Canada highway, and that is what they are talking about. The Newfoundlander accent was great, and how they depicted Canada as some magical place that is super clean is also funny, because all my American friends say just that about Calgary (a city of a little over a million), "it's so clean for a big city".
All in all, it was a very good episode.
