Okay, I think I have figured out how to dowload those pesky REAL format files that stream to your computer -- the ones that resist the standard Save Target As command. Example:
http://www.uprightcitizens.org/repository/tdonny200.ram This link, if one uses the Save Target As command (or its equivalent in your browser), a file named tdonny200.ra is downloaded to your computer that is only 118 bytes long. That is obviously not the entire clip.
If one opens this 118 byte file with a text editor, such as Windows Notepad, its contents are as follows: http://www.uprightcitizens.org/repository/tdonny200.rm?title="Little Donny Foundation"&author="UCB"©right="1997"
The next step is to cut & paste this link *up to* the question mark (not including the question mark or anything after it) into an email message you send to yourself. (Hopefully, you are using an email program that allows you to click on links.)
After you receive the message you just sent yourself, use the Save Target As command (right-click on the link, typically) on the new link. In this case, the new link is: http://www.uprightcitizens.org/repository/tdonny200.rm
The resulting file should be the entire REAL clip. It might have a .RA extension, but that's okay. RealPlayer doesn't care if it's .RA or .RM (or RAM?) to the best of my knowledge. You can rename it to .RM if you like. (I did, since .RA sounds to me like it's just an audio file...)
