The speculation on this newsgroup of the the April 1st episode of South Park not revealing who Cartman's father is got me thinking. How many tv shows have had cliffhangers where they avioded the Cliffhanger question.
Only one I can think of is this old show called Sledgehammer, which was a parody of the typical cop show. Their season finale cliffhanger had the cast in a nuclear explosion. When next season arrived, they showed the last moments with the nuclear explosion then cut to a message saying that the following seasons episodes took place before that incident.
