Not just because it gives them fuel, but because killfilters usually don't filter out responses to the trolls.... so then we all have to wade through the responses.....

P.S. I'm probably going to end up unsubbing anyway.... the troll/response ratio is too damn much....
Ohh do shut up. No offense but I'd be happy if I had a killfile that filtered out trolls period cuz mine doens't work for shit. And if you see a line of subjects your sick of reading, here's and Idea, use your working killfile and file that out too. -me
Well, then every day us normal killfilers would have to add at least 5 subjects a day! Also occasionally, a decent topic rises outta a troll post. -me

Most of the time, it's some shmuck with waaaaay too much free time that causes a ton of trouble. Check out alt.music.korn (don't bother posting anything) to see how badly wrecked that newsgroup is because of awful threads and crossposting.
