I still say it is King kong mega mega. Can't a 8 year old with a speack problem mispronounce things like: Mam=mom pah=pie ay=hey etc And who the fuck has ever heard of King Kamehameha except some hippie hawaiians and some kids who paid attention in school but every person on the face of the planet knows who king kong is A big giant hairy ape. Wouldn't it make sense to use something that normal people know what is since most SP'ers are in the range of 9-18. It is more funny to think of kyles mom as a fat hairy ape than some god damn hawiian that hardly anybody knows and probably if they do know don't know what he looks like.

Considering your very obvious speech and writing problems, you could hardly be considered the be-all and end-all on this subject. The humor of "South Park" is VERY subtle - I think that Parker and Stone EXPECT their audience to know who King Kamehameha was - or if they don't, that the audience would be prompted to find out.
Cartman does indeed say "King Kamehameha bee-yotch."
By the way, I'm a 38-year-old English teacher, and I LOVE "South Park" (as do most of my friends in the same age range), young Ms. Morris' assessment to the contrary.
I went to High School in Hawaii, It was a big deal learning about the Island before it was a state... also- you make paying attention in school a bad thing.. Shows like South Park, Simpsons, and the Old Rocky and Bullwinkle don't toss obvious humor into the air and watch it knock people out...
You gotta know some stuff. kinda like MST 3K was.. If you don't know History, and laugh at that then there is always "I'll kick you in the nuts" to get you to laugh....

44 year old adult SP fan here--I'm voting for the King Kamehameha Magnum PI connection. Besides the Club of the same name, there were King K references all over the place-- meaning (to me) huge, mega, mega, over the top.

I guess you missed the Brady Bunch Hawaii special where King Kamehameha gives Greg, Bobby, oh hell someone some bad luck.
I know I heard this Kamehameha name on some mind numbing sitcom as a kid but can't place it exactly.
So many shows did tropical adventure specials that it might have been Gilligan/Jeanne/or some other equally plausible show. But I do remember the name.
