"Molest" in place of "rape"

In the scene where a jail counselor brings out a picture of "The Beaver," he originally told the parents not to think about raping him. When this was replayed on Sunday, they substituted the word "molest" for "rape." Do the writers think molesting a child is somehow more acceptable than raping one?

I doubt the writers do, but I wouldn't be surprised if the suits at Comedy Central did.

Remember Drugs Are Bad? They didn't edit out Mr. Mackey referring to Jimbo and Ned's anti-hippie statements as "bullshit" the first time. The late-night airing of the same episode had "bullshit" edited out.

Pissed me off, too... not only because they should just take a chance and leave the dirty words in, but also I was taping the first airing that night and I didn't have my damn VCR set up properly! I missed it!

I do have the original "Death", though, where Cartman refers to Kyle's mom as a dirty Jew. Can't remember where it is, but I do have it somewhere.
