*Z100 Likes South Park*

Has anyone in the CT/NJ/NY/Northeast corner of PA heard Z100? Well, duh, you've have, but did anyone hear all the South Park references they use? Here's a short list:

"Hidee ho!" "Oh, I can't do a thing. The little <BEEP>ers say whatever the <BEEP> they want." "That show ish for babiesh. It's sho shtupid!" "This show is naughty, and might make you a pottymouth!" "I'd love to!" "Kick the baby!" "OH MY GOD! THEY KILLED KENNY!" "Go on and go home, you fat chicken!"

And here's some stuff from Elvis and Elliot and the Z Morning Zoo: "He'll be like that guy from South Park, Ned." (talking about one of the Backstreet Boys) "Jurassic South Park" (a parody commercial)

Oh yeah, on February 4, 1998 (Cartman's birthday) Isaac Hayes (yes, Isaac Hayes) called in and said "Hey, this is Chef." He even sang one of Chef's songs!

Well, that's enough crap for right now.

KRock is where Howard Stern broadcasts from. It's a rather decent station, I'll listen to it when I'm up that way, which isn't often.

But does it really matter? It's not like every city in North America doesn't have some dumb-assed DJ playing SOuth Park every ten minutes becauce of the ratings...

Actually Z100 and 92.3 K-Rock are from New York City, the farthest one can get from a "whitebread mountain town somewhere"

I agree that we should be careful quoting "local" radio stations on newsgroups, where everyone does not necessarily have access to them. At least preface your comments by explaining what kind of station you are talking about.

Just in case you actually care, though, "Z100" and "92.3 KRock" are two of the larger stations in New York City, which reaches out to a good chunk of the Tri-State Metropolitan area (meaning New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). Z100 tends more toward the Pop/Rock/Top 40 genre, while K-Rock is along the lines of Rock (alternative, as of late).
