I just don't get it- what kind of marketing decision is that???

Does anyone know what the final monetary tally was for this movie?

I dont think it made more than 50 million. However, American Pie made 100 Million. Big business there.

It's a little over $50 mil according to "Entertainment Weekly". The theatre owners probably had contracts to show other films at certain times and no one expected SP:BLU to do so well, thus they have to show other movies on the screens where SP:BLU was showing, even if it was doing well.

Did South Park:BLU really do that well?? 50 Million is all that much for a movie. Beavis and Butthead made 66 Million.

Plus you've got to skim off a bit of the profits from Tarzan and Wild Wild West (ulch, terrible terrible movies...) to account for people sneaking in. Have there been any actual research (surveys et al) done on this? At the very least I think it would be interesting to compare the ticket sales for Tarzan and WWW in theatres also showing South Park to ticket sales for those movies in theatres without South Park on another screen...

Ours too, weeks ago...but American Pie went to the buck movies earlier...LOL!

$51 million to date.. I just took my cousin this past week. .It's still playing a few places here in Southern CA...

It was my second time.. The film cost $20 million to make so it did relatively well..

I remember when Beavis & Butthead came out they said that it was the biggest non-disney animated film ever released.

I dont know how that stands up to recent stuff like The King & I, Prince Of Egypt, and Anastasia though..
