Robert Smith of "the Cure" on South Park! As Cartman would say "Kick Ass!" Trying to figure out how his character is going to be accepted in South Park...a man with red lipstick...should be interesting!

Its not the lipstick that makes him look gay...

Its his videos, particularly the one, "I will always love you" (I think its that one) where he blatantly jerks off stalagtites in a cave that then "erupt", so to speak.

He apparently likes churning guys' butter. Hell, who cares, hes a rock star...

He could have sex with a potbellied pig, and no one'd blink an eye. Though, the ensuing piglet would have crazy hair.

They didn't say what his character was, but he should be on one of the new shows in February. They also got Natasha Henski (?) "the chick from 'Species'" to do a voice. They both seemed really excited to get her to do a voice! :)

As for the fact that Smith is lending his voice to a character, for those who saw the leno appearance, I believe its quite clear the influence Smith had on (I'm not sure if it was Trey or Matt) the hairdo of one of them. Last time I saw them, it was on the daily show, and whichever one is the blond guy, his hair was slicked back and neat and trim--not to mention their clothes were all conservative and tidy. Just goes to show what a few million in your pocket in a matter of 2 months can do to a person--red and purple crushed velvet.

....Um......Looks like Big Gay Al has made another appearance....in Trey and Matt's wardrobe!

Actually, not really true. I am from Summit county, Colorado originally, not far from where they claim to be from, and all tv must be piped in by cable up in the mountains--antennaes just dont work with interference from mountains. Anyway, getting comedy central is merely a matter of asking your cable operator for it out there--maybe nobody has it where he's from, but they *could*.

Still, he's right...people are freaks up in the mountains...*shudders*...thats why I moved out east!

I'm pretty sure that Mr. Smith will play the character of Pips' uncle Chaz. Uncle Chaz will not be wearing lipstick, but will have big teeth and ears.

i dunno if this was said before, but the "chick from species" (Natasia Kinski or Henstrigede, i think) also does a guest voice. I saw the Leno thing, in which they showed a clip of the christmas ep. it was hilarious.
