Can't Listen to French Southpark

I dunno if there are other french people who, like me, saw the french translation of Southpark... It sucks ass! Even tho' I understand very well the original english version, I just can't believe that they could mess up my favorite show. Those people out there who never saw the english version of southpark must think that it sucks ass big time. It frustrate me that people can't appreciate it, because of the freaking' translaters who just can't do their job correctly. The moral of the day is: French translaters suck. Better not translate the show than mess it up.

Huh? Wow dude, I'd definitely like to see the German sync version you saw. Sorry, but IMO it sucks, totally.

The translation sucks, the dialogues are weak, the voices don't match the originals, they're are lame and don't express anything but boredom. One exception: The German voice of Chef was a good pick. Unfortunately that guy can't sing.

Mr. Mackey has nothing in common with the original. His "klar" ("clear") instead of "mmmkay" and his entire voice are annoying. And who the hell turned Mr. Hat into something weird like "Mr. Zylinder" ("Cylinder").

Those suckers weren't even polite enough, to keep Kenny's voice original. Instead of "mmpfhm mm" he says someeting like "Whooligiggligrulligoo". (Well at least now he's got a good reason to get killed frequently)

To you bastards of German TV out there: I'm gonna kick you in the nnnuts!!!

Just out of curiosity, what do you think of the translation into French of _The Simpsons_? I've talked to at least one Frenchman who thought that the humor in _The Simpsons_ was too much based on American cultural peculiarities. (To him it was sort of like one big American in-joke.) But since you like _South Park_, I thought you might appreciate the other program.

I saw the French translation of the Simpsons on a recent trip to France. They completely ruined it! I don't know if they had translated the script properly, as it was one I had not yet seen in English, but the voices were terrible! Fortunately, as it was in a hotel in Calais, I was close enough to England to be able to pick up English TV transmissions and pick up 'Underpants gnomes' in glorious English later that night. One thing, though. You may not like the French translation, but you've got 'Chef Aid' and 'Cow Days' on VDO already in France, and Starvin' Marvin' has been charmingly re-named 'Le Petit Ethernopian'
