After Ozzy bit off Kenny's head, they showed the 4 guys standing there listening to the music. I know Kenny has rematerialized in the past, but this seemed out of place.
Later, during the resolution, Kenny wasn't there.
Did somebody screw up???

Re Kenny's "reappearance" after his death...
Obviously, the people working on the episode just re-used a shot of the four chi'dren which appeared earlier in the episode.
Re-using a shot is a very common practice in filming, done to save time and money so the crew doesn't have to actually get a new shot.
Also, films are never ever filmed in sequence. The scenes are done out of order. I'm sure SP is created the same way, with one group working on one scene, another group working on another. It was probably just a screw-up because the people working on this particular scene didn't realize that, in the final episode, Kenny would already be dead by that time.
'Course, there's always a very strong possibility that the guys at SP may have done this just to fuck with your minds.

SP's lack of concern for continuity is well documented. To me, it's both good (refreshing "who gives a fuck attitude") and bad (sloppyness, lazyness shows up in weak scripts and lame jokes). So far in season two the latter attitude seems dominant.
Did anybody ever notice in the episode where the bus was teetering over the edge, Kenny shows up on the bus a little bit after the monster pulls him out of the bus and eats him?

You might want to take into account that this episode had a REALLY tight schedule, and those guys were putting in massive overtime to crank it out...it's not hard on South Park to just remove a character from a shot...it's as easy as a mouse click...but you're right about the shots being done out of order..chances are is that Trey did notice it while editing, but they just didn't have the time to re-render the shot...
Every time I hear about the insanely fast rate that you guys crank out these episodes, the quality amazes me even more.
As much as I love Trey & Matt, they are the high-profile guys. Here's to everybody else who works on the show!

It's all quite amazing...just the other day (Thursday), Matt & Trey were at a little conference with Mike Judge and Matt Groening at the Museum of TV and Radio in Beverly HIlls, and Matt Groening was totally floored when Trey was talking about how if he doesn't like a particular part of a scene, he can request a change and have the scene back in two hours. Mr. Groening was like "uhhh.....for us it's two months!"

The animators all kick ass...I really admire their talent and dedication too the show! There was one scene I was looking at the other day that I though was animated so neatly...man what was it....I can't remember, but I was just thinking... "this is so awesome that they can manipulate these little papercutout-wire-frames in such a fun way!" I dunno if any of them read this crap, but if so, you guys rock! (and I'm sorry for drawing all over the dry-erase board last week! hehe)

In 'Flashbacks', after the bus falls in the ice cream, you can see Kenny about to fall out of his seat, with a bewildered expression on his face...he even cheers with everyone else when they find out where they landed...
Maybe. Maybe they're screwing with our minds to get us all to make obsessive theories about why Kenny's in one shot but not the next so they can steal our souls when we're not looking and take over the earth!
Or maybe not ;) Personally, I think Kenny has perfected the art of resurrecting immediately after death, so after dying, he sneaks back to South Park until the guys upstairs find out he's gone and yank him back...
