Did anyone see this week's episode of South Park? It had a statue of the "virgin" Mary which bled out its ass. Pilgrims come from all over to be annointed with the holy miracle blood. Finally Pope Benedict comes to investigate and he proceeds to stick his nose in the statue's ass and it spews blood all over his face. The pope declares that it is not a miracle because the blood was actually coming out of the statue's vagina, and that chicks bleed out their vaginas all the time and it is no big deal.
BTW, I've been to the Bas�lica in Mexico City and I was appalled. It was so pathetic to see indios in rags crawling a block or more on their knees, actually crying not from pain but from a combination of sorrow for whatever dreadful sin they thought they committed and happiness from believing that the oh-so-fucking-holy painted cloth would absolve them of their sin.
