Think about things logically, there will always be a rebellious few that will know and understand what is good sardonic humor, but the truth of the matter is this - There will always be morons pumping out kids. And since they can't handle the responsibility and wish to only find unconditional love, they put in front of the TV with guess what? ......Still thinking? A Disney movie, because as everyone knows a Disney movie has all hte qualities of humanity to be passed on from generation to generation. We are talking about a corporation that banned one of their own movies, Song of the South, due to the early 20th century ideals of African-Americans. Try renting that, just happy that I have a copy of it, because I know what Disney really stood for. CAPATILISM!!

The other point is that SP: BLU hasn't had the same distribution as the others.
Look at it this way: Say you have two films, film A and film B, yeah? Film A is shown in 100 theaters and grosses $10m over a given period. Film B is shown in 200 theaters and grosses $15m over the same period. Film B is the one the studios are "running" with, so it always gets the best theaters, biggest, most comfortable screens, etc; the difference is not explained by different seating capacities. Now, Film B's proponents should be a little worried, no? Because their baby had twice the exposure, and yet made nowhere near twice the takings.
My point is that once the viewing figures are "normalized" by factoring in the profits in relation to distribution, the ratings for SP may not be at all as bad vis-a-vis the competition as the initial comparison on takings alone might suggest. Perhaps someone who is better at math than myself could whip out the appropriate formula and use it on the above new releases.
And I haven't even *mentioned* those kids who are dying to see it, but can't get a 17+ fan to take them.

The MPAA gave it a NC-17 for a scene in which one of them masturbates using the jet of a jacuzzi, a scne that is shot from the neck up. Meanwhile, "American Pie" gets an R and it has a scene that involves, basically, a guy fucking an apple pie. I haven't seen either movie yet, but my understanding is that the pie-loving scene is far more graphic. Hmmm? The MPAA has always been far more squeamish about sex than violence -- I always laugh when I hear a movie had to cut 3 seconds of film to get an R instead of a NC-17.
One of my favorite parts of the whole stink around the South Park movie is how Trey Parker and Matt Stone have exposed the MPAA for the narrow-minded board of idiots they are. Maybe this whole thing will cause it to come crashing down finally.

Well sure as shit you would NEVER have been able to buy beer at a 7-Eleven near my home (even at 21) since at one time they had a policy due to proliferation of fake IDs that if you looked under 21 you would be refused sale NO MATTER WHAT YOUR ID SAYS!!! It's gone now (it was around 97 that this happened), but I told them that they can't do that.
Did you know that you can sue the movie theatre for not letting you in, since your ID was real?
When I was in college a guy sued one of the bars that wouldn't let him in because they said his ID was fake, and it was real. He actually won the case. Same goes with the store refusing ppl regardless of what their ID's said.

the MPAA is also a bunch of idiots because they cave in to the studios and the marketing pressure. austin powers deserved an R rating and gave it a PG-13. I think the ratings system should be eliminated.

How come Austin Powers deserved an R? There was no nudity, no swearing (at least not much.. 2 or 3 words) and about the same sexual content as the first movie..
