Seriously. They've used MAYA to pull off changes 24 hours before showtime. See the Elian Gonzalez parody a few years back for a good example -- much of that was done up to 10 hours prior to air on CC.

Exactly. SP has always represented Saddam as a "Canadian", even before the SP movie. So, they could have had an episode with Saddam behind the green curtain, and just added a beard and some "spider hole" background.

They've had live actors in the show before, actually. Usually that gets filmed about two weeks or so prior to airtime, since at most it lasts around a minute or a little longer. Not enough to worry about last-minute changes to the show in terms of editing.
