Won't be a second movie

Howdy Ho!

According to the Rep entertainment insert in todays Arizona Republic Trey Parker and Matt Stone are convinced that the movie-ratings people would never let them get away with another movie.

" We ripped on ( the MPAA ratings board ) so much publicly that they're out for us now," Stone says. " We ( bleeped ) them so hard...They're scared of us."

The duo also are campainging for a Best Song nod for the song 'Blame Canada'.

This was on page 27. Of course, I don't always believe everything I read in the paper.

Woohoo! They may not know it, but I suggested 'Blame Canada' for best song a few months ago on the South Park Digest. Wouldn't it be nice if their campaign is successful?

I'd like to see them win SOMETHING at the Oscars, but I wonder why they're pushing that song? "Up There" seems more appropriate, and closer to the kind of song that the Oscars love. (I'm sure that the parody is lost on most of the members, anyway...)

I would too. That's probably considered to be a sign of the imminent end of the world, though. Maybe we should start a movement to convince the Oscars to move to HBO or some other uncensored channel.
