Mr. Garrison mentioned something about the movie (besides it was a load of crap) that I think may have spoiled the ending of the movie...
I haven't seen it, and don't plan to. But I have to know: is what he said true?

Contact has been on video for a few months now. I figure anyone who wanted to see it and didn't want the ending ruined would have done so by now.
I didn't care for the movie... in fact the only part I really liked was when they saw what the first message from the aliens was. They see this blurry shape, then zoom out a little and focus it, and see a swastika! Then they pull back farther and see that it's a video clip of Hitler presiding over the Olympic games in the 30's before WW2 started. It was hillarious!

Yup it was- but what he said is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the movie and it really rang true. The movie for the most part was ok, bu the end sucked. "Waited through two hours of the goddamn movie just to find out the alien was her father?" Silent Z

Contact is a love it or hate it movie.
For me it was my favorite film of last year.. I've watched it several times on DVD.. But I do know a few people who didn't like it at all.

Well....
He did divulge the ending. Save yourself the trouble. Just think... I read the book. Same disappointing ending.
