This question may have already been addressed, in which case feel free to tell me to shut the fuck up-- but if Kyle's parents are such observent Jews, why are he and his brother named "Kyle" and "Ike"? (Tres non-Jewish names.) Why not, oh... for example... Aric and... um... well, Morris? Or is that just part of the joke?

Isaac (what "Ike" is short for) is tres non-Jewish? Go fig...
Ike is a nickname for Isaac which is a common Jewish name. Kyle is just the kind of fancy name a lot of modern Jewish parents would give their son. Besides, all you need is to have the first letter of the kid's name be the same as the relative he or she is named after. So, the names are NOT tres non-Jewish at all.
