The 100th episode is aired next week. In looking at the standards, I doubt they will be a major hit like the Simpsons, but we can all dream for the 200th ep, can't we?

I doubt that SP will make it to 200. At the rate that they are producing new episodes, it will have had to have been on for 14 years. I just can't see a cable tv show lasting that long. I'm am surprised if a network show lasts that long. The Simpson's longevity is due in large part to the fact that when Fox started, the Simpson's was all it had. That and Married with Children. I would love to see SP last that long, but can that show stay fresh for that long? The Simpson's sure haven't.

Neoither has South Park, but I have to admit the newest one (Toilet Paper) was pretty good.

They're contracted up to episode 141, with the option of taking that to 156, so it doesn't seem like that they'll extend the contract to three more additional seasons after the merely optional season 3 years from now.
