Funniest SP moment

I don't know man.. from the first episode, I love the 'whatever, you fat bitch', and 'No! You hear me? No! You go to hell! You go to hell and you die!'. The second episode didn't have that much funny stuff.. but the third episode, I love the 'Did she really throw her voice with 2 puppets? The bitch must die' comment.

Are you kidding? The best part was when Stan (Or Kenny, whatever) was yelling at the aliens "Hey you beepbeepbeeeeep" whatever and the other one asks "Hey Wendy, what's a beeep?" That or when they're fishing and hunting and Cartman goes "I'm having flashbacks from Vietnam" and all the soldier-speak. -MJP

"I've got a bump on my head, a bug bite on my arm, a sandwich on my ass..." "And all in front of Trent." -Daria Morgandorfer & Jane Lane. "I will look my enemies straight in the face, and I will not surrender!"

Yes, it was sad to see it bastardized in WG4000

The problem with this is that some ISPs already have address verification for e-mail and posting to control spam. Not valid address? Doesn't get posted or sent. Not your address? Not only does it not get posted or sent but the attempt goes to the postmaster.

It has a little more overhead but it not only stops anonymous/forged usenet spam (which you method does NOT do) but eliminates the postmaster's task of trying to find out what idiot really sent the spam.

As pointed out in the Spam FAQ some of the laws already on the books (state and local as well as federal) could likely be brought to bare against spammers provided we knew about them and could make it clear on how they apply to the internet.

You're right, I've gotten only one SPAM since I've started disfiguring my e-mail address. And that's one who's list I can't get off, so I must say the CAUCE site is worth a visit.

If you're using MS Internet Mail, go to <MAIL> then select <INBOX ASSISTANT> and add the address to the section and select <DELTED MAIL> as the destination. It'll automatically delete it for you without you having to see it and do it yourself.

It doesn't take long for the spam to catch up to you when you do this and all you are doing is making it harder for legitimate users to respond to you, thereby letting the spammers win.

Fight them and fight them hard! Right now the best thing that you can do is complain to your congressmen (or women). Send them copies of the junk that you receive. Let them know that spammers don't even give you the option to respond anymore because they are using fake email reply addresses. Eventually they will be stopped...

But can't you ONLY change your email address for your newsreader program without effecting your regular email program???

Sure, but it depends entirely upon what operating system you're using, and how much work you want to put into setting up your mail and news programs. I can see from you headers you're using the regular old Windows mail/news programs provided by MS, which are (IMO) the absolute worst programs ever written for mail and news. MS made them easy to set up, but not easy to configure to all ends. Get a copy of Free Agent and Pegasus Mail which are both free and much better than the stock MS solutions. It's no problem setting up Free Agent with a bogus return address.

Mike Trettel Don't send me unsolicitated commercial, trettel (at) fred dot net promotional, or money-making e-mail of any sig v2.11 kind and I won't complain to your ISP. Thank god!!.. It's HENNY YOUNGMAN!!

NOw see, I would never mail you becuase I wouldn't bother to do all that just to mail you. You won''t get spam, but you won't get much else either.

Richard Johnson wrote in article ... snip

It seems that I ONLY get spam that has taken my address off these newsgroups. So if I change my address for the newsreader I use to post to the newsgroups, I can still have my correct address in my email program. I guess it would be harder for someone to email me from the newsgroups though.

I think the funniest scene I've seen so far is Cartman in the entire "Kathie Lee Gifford" episode. From the "I'm gonna be on television" song to "Beefcake! BEEFCAKE!!'

My favorite line in "The Spirit of Christmas" however, is Jesus saying "I've been a right bastard." I don't know why, but I started laughing hysterically at that.

"Mom, I need it for tomorrow!!!!"

I'm SOXMAS, I liked Kyle's "You're such a fat f_ck Cartman that when you walk down the street people go 'goddammit that kid's a big fat f_ck!'" It still makes me laugh even though I've seen the short about 50 times.

M.S.

I likes when he says 'dont belittle my people you fat fuck!' and then cartman says 'don't call me fat, pigfucker!'

Just my two bacon

U >I likes when he says 'dont belittle my people you fat fuck!' and then

I may be a lowly AOL'r but I think ( notice the first person ) that those lines are from Spirit of Christmas..not Southpark...and again, if I am not mistaken. one of them , the first one, is misquoted

a fan Just Me, Lisa. [email] * * * * * * * "I'm not fat..I'm big boned! -Cartman-"SouthPark"

True. From _TSoC_. But then again, _TSoC_ IS, for all intents and purposes, so to speak, South Park. But what do you mean by "misquoted," Ma'am? It may not be exact, but it's pretty close, IIRC...

Lucas Treffkorn Boy Wodner and Lurker Extraordinaire (well, a few posts, here and there)

"Stan, remember the choo-choo when you were three?" "So we meet again Jesus. This time we finish it. There can be only one!"

-Santa, The Spirit of Christmas

I loved it in the first episode when Cartman started singing that "I love to Singa" song and afterward there was silence for like 5 seconds, followed by Kyle or Stan's "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?"

Also, "Cartman, there's an 80 foot satellite coming out of your ass!"

--Mark

I'm going for when Stan was talking to Sparky "Now....don't be gay. Don't be gay, Spark. Don't be gay."

My personal favorite went something like this:

Miss Crabtree: DO YOU WANT AN OFFICE REFERRAL??!?!?! Kyle: no... Miss Crabtree: THEN SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!! Kyle: but... Miss Crabtree: AAAAAAAAAA!!! Kyle: AAAAAAA! Miss Crabtree: AAAAAAAAA! Kyle: AAAAAAAA!!!!!

I was laughing soooo hard, but my friend's favorite part was:

Cartmen, there's an 80 foot satellite dish sticking out of your ass! Sure guys, whatever!

Funniest moment, IMHO, is in SoXMas --

Cartman: It's Brian Boytano! Kyle: What incredible irony! Cartman: Yeah, it's Brian Boytano!

Maybe it was because I saw it at 2 in the morning... but that just caught me funny... ^_-

(forgive my spelling -- never seen Brian Boytano's name spelled before...)

Well for me it would have to be a tie between: (a) Ned singing "Kumbaya" at the campfire in the volcano episode , or (b) Cartman's lines abouttelling a woman to knit him a sweater, cook him a pie, etc, or (c) The not very PC announcer of the football game (not seeing an Englishman taking a blow like that since Hugh Grant, a beating like that since Rodney King, etc)

Andy sends [email] [email] http:/www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/7502/

Without a doubt the funniest line comes from the episode with the Aliens. When the girl comes and gives Stan (I believe) a note asking him to meet her at the pond after school.

Kyle says something like... Maybe you'll get to kiss her Cartman says something like... Yeah maybe you'll get to slip her some tongue Kenny say... ???? Stan says... How do you know she has a cat.

I missed the joke the first time I saw it but on the second viewing I fell of the chair laughing!!

Well, there's:

1-From "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride": "Would you like to dance?" and then all that bad techno music starts playing and the animals start dancing.

2-"...speaking of pounding ass, here comes Stan's little gay dog..."

3-Of course, the whole Kenny explosive diarrhea thing at the school in "Death"

Actually, it's "...here come's Stan's little homo dog." If you're gonna quote something, get it right. My personal favorite line is when they are standing by the bus stop in the beginning of the Elephant and Pig episode. After Stan asks Kyle about his elephant, he replies: Oh, you mean this one?" That kills me!

i liked it when the non-PC announcer said: "woah! i haven't seen a jew run that fast since poland in 1938!" and the other guy says "DUDE!" i always crack up at that one! and when he goes: "i haven't seen that many children get molested since" and then he gets cut off. that guy kicks ass!

Ugh, South Park... Kick Ass! (cartmann)

My favorite moment is just about anything from the episode when Cartmann is abducted by the aliens and farts fire and the big satelite dish comes out of his ass. Classic !

The non P-C football announcer is a definate great as well !

Another funny, is anything with Shtan's big shishter. Heh!

BEEFCAKE ! BEEFCAKE ! BEEEEEEFCAAAAAAKE !

That ROCKED. We had an English quiz the other day, and in an effort to get us to define the word 'boorish', the question was, 'Imagine some freshman just bumped into you. Respond to him in a boorish manner.' My response was the aforementioned Mr. Hat quote. :)

When Mark calls Jesus and Pals, and says, "Hello, this is Mark", and Jesus says "Oh yeah Mark So-and-So (So-and -So being Mark's last name), of [where-ever Mark lives], and Mark says "Yeah, how'd you know that?", and then Jesus says something like "Well, maybe because I'm the son of God."

I also like the time that guy said to Jesus "Oh, yeah, and thanks for dying for our sins." or something along those lines.

I find *all* of the kids' miniature "songs" (most are barely 10 words) absolutely hilarious, and can't even figure out why. There is something totally bizarre, even *haunting*, about them, especially when they sing together -- I'm convinced it has to do with the *harmony*. Ok ok, maybe maybe I'm a mental case but there's no other explanation for why I kept obsessively rewinding to the spot in (for example) Episode #1 where they sing, "We got out of schoo-ool, no more school todaaaa-aay." It's eerie. Also, when they all *speak* together, like when Chef greets them and they all answer back "Hey Chef," they do it in perfect four-part harmony.
