tonights episode

I liked the episode until the end. When I was in first grade my teacher warned us if we ever ended a story with "and then I woke up" she would fail us. I also think we can add this episode to the list of shows that Kenny never died during since it was just a dream.

yes okay, it's nice that you guys caught the fact that Kenny didn't really die, and that Kenny was seen in a few scenes AFTER he died. My point is, aren't some of us SP fans taking this a little too much!!?

I'm talking to those people who usually go "this is what is really happening because of this...." or "they screwed up because of this..." blah blah blah , South Parkers! come on, there is such a thing called "obsession" and "fanatics." For a show that makes fun of this rational world, why do a lot of people have to try and rationalize every episode of it?

I mean analyzing and loving the characters are not bad things and all, BUT do people have to make such a big deal about things at times?!! Damn! I myself am a BIG FAN of South Park and I'm not denying that, but I believe I know my limits.

Watching Dennis Miller Live the other Friday, he mentioned how South Parkers are the next Trekkies (Trekkers, Star Trekkers, whatever), and what's sad is that Matt & Trey (his guests) agreed with him. I'm not surprised that they mentioned how the April Fools joke was their favorite episode right now, because of the uproar it caused among fans (so for those of you who hated the April Fools joke, who are still in this NG, and said that the "real" April Fools joke was that they "purposely made it unfunny" and were laughing at those who thought it was funny, well.... they got it the other way around).

There are many who are asking for TOO MUCH in a South park episode, as if it's such a special thing that every episode has to be special. For those like that, let me just simply ask you this.... Can't we treat the show the way it should be treated? Like a sit-com! It's comparable to those situational comedies like Seinfeld and the others. They have their fair share of bad and good episodes (and their fair share of big fans), not every episode will necessarily be a great event!

yes it's a cartoon, but SO WHAT? are you people telling me that just because it's an animated show, it can't possibly be taken seriously and talked about like a "regular show that isn't animated?" I'm sick and tired of people giving animated shows a bad rap, just because it's....animated!

"ah, it's animated, it must be a cartoon for kids, where's the cute little furry bears?" or the "ah, it's a cartoon....wha wha what? Did that cute little kid just say FUCK and french kiss a girl?! That can't be right, where's the moral lessons in all that?!" Those who say these things should get a clue.

Animated doesn't mean "stupidly funny that you have to laugh like a little kid but can never take it seriously." Like I said above, SP can be compared to sit coms. Think of this like one of the first animated sit coms (in the U.S. at least - and I'm not forgetting the Flinstones, the Simpsons, and King of the Hill).

South Park is like a sit-com and Political cartoon. Sure the characters and stories are exaggerated, but the underlying message is that SP is capable of talking about issues like Prejudice, Violence or Hypocricy through a creative, smart and entertaining fashion.

If you're still not convinced, Go get the Japanese Animation "Neon Genesis Evangelion" which is released in the U.S. by A.D.Vision. Watch all 26 episodes and see if you can still tell me "it's just a cartoon!"

So what's MY message all about you still say?

South Parkers, more power to you for knowing and loving so much about the show, BUT there are limits to how much you should put your life into this.

Dissapointed South Parkers and bashers alike, get a grip on yourselves or stop watching the show if you hate it or are annoyed by it so much, you do have lives to deal with right?

These are of course my opinions, I may (or may not) have offended people from reading this. I can't say I apologize because HEY! These are MY opinions. =P

If you feel the need to debate these subjects, do it through private e-mail if it's more personal.

Personally I think people who take the time to write 500 page responses are the ones who are taking this all a little to seriously. And by the way I didnt read it.

I enjoy finding Kenny in extra frames, thank you very much! (Yes, I know it's not a big deal with this logic stuff, but I don't care. It's fun.)

It doesn't matter if it was a dream, Kenny still died, twice. As long as Stan and Kyle do their "Oh my God they killed Kenny" bit then Kenny has officially died in that episode even if it is just a dream. Some sort of death did occur.
