South Park is scheduled to be released on Blu-Ray.
Years ago I downloaded a couple South Park clips in Flash animation and noticed when I stretched the window to widescreen (16x9) the picture widened out too. There was information enough to fill the widescreen, though the sides occasionally lacked full picture elements.
Still, SP in HD. I'd get that. ;-)
The new Simpsons and King of the Hill were broadcast in HD last week. The Simpsons re-did their opening sequence in HD and is is amazing: http://www.tvweek.com/news/2009/02/sundays_simpsons_goes_hd_updat.php As far as I know Southpark is all standard definition. I was amazed how good the HD Simpsons and KotH was. I could read everything on background walls. There was so much more to see. Lets hope Southpark starts shooting in HD soon. The only issue I can see is Comedy Central may not be available in HD on many cable systems.
