Anyone know when it's going to be out on video? With all these other movies (Blair Witch, Iron Giant) coming out before the year's out, I'd like to hope South Park will be one of them (and not like Star Wars, which I've heard is coming out in *March*!)

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is scheduled to be released on VHS, DVD and laserdisc by Paramount on November 23, 2 days before Thanksgiving. I've heard that the VHS version will be retailed around $100 so I recommend buying the DVD or laserdisc version (if you own either one or both) since they'll be cheaper and also in the widescreen format unlike the VHS version.
afaik, the vhs version will go straight to sell-thru. i'm under the impression that it's being released that week so that it'll be in stores before all the post-thanksgiving day shopping sprees begin.

$100 retail for a video is nothing new. Paramount did the same thing when they first released Beavis And Butt-Head Do America on VHS back in 1997.

depends on how you define "roughly". the window between video release and pay per view is something that retailers really like to play up when pushing tapes to storeowners. i was/am probably wrong about the movie going direct to sell thru, but i'd be surprised if it made it on to pay per view any earlier than next february. by then it'll be in the used bins at blockbuster.

It's TRUE the VHS is $100. Understand that the the NORM in the video business and cheap releases are an exception.
