I think he is supposed to be reminiscent of Fred Astaire...did you notice that he had stigmata holes in his hands?
I never ever watched that Santa Claus thing so I'm not in on the joke. Why would Fred Astaire have stigmata?

That's just the gap between his thumb and his fingers (like the tip of his thumb touching the tip of his index finger). His hands are just drawn with that "GI Joe's Kung Fu Grip" sorta way.

Any self-respecting fan of Fred Astaire (of which I'm one, so sue me) can tell you that in real life Fred Astaire was always self-conscious about his hands. He thought they looked too large, so he use to curve in hands like that so they wouldn't look so huge on the big screen. I'm just impressed that Trey knew about that. Next time you watch a Fred Astaire movie look at his hands and you'll see what I mean. Yeah I know what's the likelihood that someone here would watch a Fred movie?

Some have commented on what look like stigmata on Mailman Timmy's hands. They are not stigmata. They are O's made in the usual fashion: thumb tips touching the other finger tips. Sometimes he has them turned in, sometimes he has them turned out.
The mailman is derived from "Special Delivery Kluger," the mailman in Rankin-Bass's Santa Claus is Coming to Town (1970), who is modeled on and voiced by Fred Astaire, one of the best dancers in movie history.
And if Fred Astaire was self-conscious about his hands, he probably shaped them into O's to hide his long fingers.

Minor nit, Frank was in his 80's when he died a year or two ago, so it was the 30's when Frank was in his 20's. Wasn't this a TV special? Sinatra was older than that.
