Wow. Where to start? THIS is Jeff. Let me just say... Reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. A... friend (I use the term loosely) of mine posted that message. I have been in the hospital. I have been very sick. He (for whatever reason) thought it'd be funny to fake my death. The real story is that I did have a fever of 103. I did pass out before reading any response as to what I should do. And I did go to the emergency room. I've been in the hospital for the past week recovering. I had Bronchitis (which sucks, but is no big deal) and then an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. But, I'm okay now. Thanks a lot for all of the concern. And, I'm sorry about Kyle's little joke. I agree that it was stupid and horribly insensitive. If there's anything I can do to make up for it, just let me know. I'm glad to be back.

THE REAL Jeff

<rmk> Sarah has never used my computer and wouldn't know how to find a newsgroup if her life depended on it, for what it's worth.

Jeff, if you want to do something really mean to this friend of yours, I have a few evil ideas.

1. There are these things called urine tracer pills that doctors use. They are harmless, as they contain nothing but massive amounts of dye. (They're for kidney disease diagnoses and things.) Crush one, slip it into the dude's food, and he'll be pissing bright blue for days.

2. You can get a chemical called anhydrous sodium poly-acretate (I'm 90% sure that's what it's called) from magic or chemistry supply stores. It has the interesting feature of absorbing 300 times its weight in water, and it wouldn't take much to solidify his toilet.

3. Unscrew the head in his shower. Put as many crushed Lifesavers as you can inside. Rescrew it. The next time he showers, they will melt and cover his body in a fine glaze which is nearly impossible to get off without many hours of hard work.

That's all I can think of right now, and remember that revenge is a dish best served at whatever temperature you can get it. The ball's in your court, dude.

Jeff, glad to see you're back. Man, I'm gone for two days and I miss everything! Seriously, don't take the law into your own hands too much, just do something like letting all the air outta your friend's tires, something nasty but still legal.

OK, it's time to show my age (and former deliquency) here. "Back in the day" when gas tank openings were larger, you could fit a ping-pong ball in to them. The effect of this (and probably with the fake grapes) was the car would start, go about 50', and cut off (the ping-pong ball gets sucked down and blocks the gas feed). When the engine cuts out, the suction stops and the ping-pong ball floats back to the surface of the gas in the tank. By the time the owner of the vehicle could manage to get it to a shop, the ping-pong ball would dissolve in the gas, leaving no trace. A very annoying prank for the vehicle owner (though I don't know how long it would take for a plastic grape to dissolve). If you *truly* want to be evil, you could put power-steering fluid in the gas tank, which would cause the pistons to freeze up (I would NOT recommend that anyone do this, it does cause THOUSANDS of dollars worth of damage, as the engine does need to be replaced after this). For those of you wondering, I have done the former prank, but not the latter (it's too damn mean for me to even consider doing to anyone).

Do you have an evil streak or what? :) I can attest to the results of the later, but not due to a prank. back in high school, I lost a '75 Mustang because my girlfriend thought that's where you're supposed to put the power steering fluid. It woulda cost more to replace the engine than it did to replace the car.

The ping ping ball trick is pure genius. Screws someone up for a full
day, but doesn't do serious or lasting damage. Got any more? If it's
too OFF TOPIC, send me an e-mail.

Step Four: Quickly leave the bank. Step Five: Read about it in the news next day. An alternate Step Five: Get arrested.

According to Zubanski, it was Tue, 02 Feb 1999 22:52:35 -0800 when Toni approached him in the old spaghetti factory. Zubanski then makes the dubious claim of being handed a letter containing the following text:

Evil Dead=Early 80s cult horror flick about a man named Ash and his fateful journey to a cabin in the woods.

Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn=The result of Evil Dead's status as cult hit. Because not a lot of people got to see the original, Raimi essentially remade Evil Dead and made it goofier/more humorous, hence creating Evil Dead 2. Evil Dead 2 isn't really a sequel, as it's more of a funny remake of a slightly more serious precursor.

Army of Darkness="MidEvil Dead", or Evil Dead 3.

Speaking of director Sam Raimi, you must see "A Simple Plan." It shows Hollywood that Sam is more than a fast-camera hack, and that he's a truly talented director who can do both serious and cult.
